Product details
The DET4 grounding testing family from Megger offers a comprehensive solution for your requirements in earth electrode and ground resistance measurements. The basic equipment, which includes the testing device, test cables, electrodes, batteries, and calibration certificate, is delivered in a robust polypropylene carrying case – everything you need for your measurements in one kit. The grounding tester complies with protection class IP54, making it suitable for outdoor use. It is designed to be user-friendly: a large selector switch makes it easy to choose between 2-, 3-, or 4-pole tests, and the device design eliminates the need for short-circuit connections for 2-pole measurements.
With its large, clear, and easily readable LCD display, along with a thumb-sized test button, the device is particularly well-suited for outdoor grounding testing requirements. Additionally, the grounding tester automatically checks the connection and condition of the P-tip and C-tip, displaying the status on the screen. The device includes a voltmeter for measuring earth voltage and can measure resistances from 0.01 Ω to 20 kΩ, as well as earth voltages of up to 100 V. To enable accurate measurements in noisy environments, the device can suppress noise of up to 40 V peak-to-peak.
The digital grounding tester DET4TD2 operates on 8 standard AA batteries, providing excellent operating time. The DET4TR2 is powered by rechargeable AA cells and features a built-in battery charger as well as an AC/DC adapter. The battery status is displayed on both instruments using a bar graph. Megger's grounding testers meet the stringent requirements of safety standards (100 V CAT. IV).
