The Matrox Extio F2408 point-to-point KVM extension separates hardware from the rest of the computer at distances of up to 1 km via a fiber optic cable. It allows for the transmission of uncompressed raw data between the remote host system and the user-side Extio F2408 application.

It can be combined with the optional Extio F2408E expander to operate even more essential displays, up to a total of 8, with a maximum resolution of 2560x1600 per display, all using a single workstation, fiber optic cable, and adapter.
