How can one design a lamp that reflects the lightness of a spiral band twisting around itself? The Piola collection attempts to imitate this flowing, endless movement that revolves around light, seeking a balance between light diffusion and shadow play. A metal tube serves as the central spindle to which a laminated band over 5 meters long is attached, enveloping, protecting, and diffusing the light to create a cozy atmosphere. Piola generates various lighting effects: directly directed light downwards, indirect light through reflection, and light that penetrates between the bands, illuminating the object itself. The spiral shade breaks the monotony of the object, which appears different from every angle. The central axis provides symmetry and support, contrasting with the flowing movement of the band. The lamp is available in four colors, with both the structure and the shade in the same color, creating a unified appearance. This way, the quality of the light takes center stage.
