The MVH500A is a lightweight video head with a longer adjustable quick-release plate, making it the ideal solution for the latest generation of HDSLRs and camcorders with interchangeable lenses. The MVH500A, which succeeds the 701HDV, comes with a 60 mm half bowl. The 500 head is particularly quick and secure to use due to its side locking mechanism: simply slide the camera with the quick-release plate into the head, and it locks in place firmly and securely without any additional tightening required. The side locking also allows for quicker and safer removal of the camera from the head than usual. The 500 head features a preset counterbalance of 2.4 kg and a load capacity of 5 kg. Additionally, the head supports the attachment of further accessories through the 3/8" Easy-Link thread.
