Manfrotto Nitrotech N8 Fluid Video Panhead

The revolutionary tripod head for professional and ambitious filmmakers offers the possibility of a continuous counterbalance from 0 to 8 kg. This allows precise settings for a wide range of different camera configurations and thus exact control of the camera movement.

At the heart of the N8 fluid video head is the Nitrotech damper, whose unique geometry allows for weight compensation at the highest professional level for the first time in this tripod head class - for both heavy video cameras (up to 8 kg) and light mirrorless system cameras (approximately 500 g). Thanks to the precisely adjustable counterbalance, the camera can be tilted with absolute accuracy and remains exactly in the desired position. This was previously only possible with much more expensive high-end video heads.

The friction damping can be adjusted separately on both axes (pan and tilt), so that even demanding camera movements can be realized at the required speed. In combination with the Nitrotech counterbalance, an unlimited number of creative shooting possibilities open up for the filmmaker.

The Nitrotech fluid video head has a quick-release unit with a double safety catch that allows the camera to be easily removed upwards (top release). The long sliding plate also allows for quick balancing of the equipment. An Easy-Link connector with anti-rotation thread allows for the attachment of additional accessories such as external monitors or LED lights. The flat base has a 3/8 inch thread that allows the head to be used on a wide variety of tripod and holding systems (e.g., slider, crane).

Like all Manfrotto premium products, the Nitrotech fluid video head is characterized by its innovative functionality as well as its trend-setting, robust design. The construction has been deliberately designed open and is surprisingly light (2.2 kg) despite the special damping system and the high payload of 8 kg. The head is manufactured at the Manfrotto plant in Feltre, Northern Italy.
