The main feature of the 055CXPRO3 is its 90° center column mechanism, which allows the column to be extended either vertically or horizontally for wide framing and shooting options. This makes the 055CXPRO3 an extremely versatile tripod suitable for a variety of photo and video applications. The horizontal column mechanism is integrated into the top of the tripod for compactness but can be quickly and easily pulled out when needed. Switching between vertical and horizontal column orientation requires no disassembly and can even be done with the camera mounted. The legs of the 055CXPRO3 can also be quickly extended and adjusted, thanks to the Quick Power Lock lever, which locks and unlocks each part of the leg. The special design of the QPL levers allows all parts of the legs to be opened in one step. Additionally, the QPL arm design provides a more powerful locking of each part, meaning the tripod is more stable and robust than traditional arm designs. Intuitive and ergonomic leg angle selectors allow each leg to be individually and securely set to any pre-set angle, offering great positioning freedom once again. A bubble level is integrated into the top of the center column to ensure precise framing. The bubble level can be freely rotated around the center column, allowing it to be positioned where it is most visible when setting up the tripod, without being obstructed by the mounted head and camera or the controls of the head or camera. The top casting of the 055CXPRO3 features an Easy Link connector for attaching photo or video accessories, transforming the tripod into a practical mobile studio.
