M5Stack M5StickC NCIR Hat MLX90614 Temperature Sensor

The NCIR MLX90614 HAT from M5Stack is a contactless infrared temperature sensor that can be plugged into an M5Stick. The sensor measures the surface temperature of a human body or a moving object. Unlike most other temperature sensors, this sensor captures the infrared light emitted by distant objects, allowing for contactless temperature measurement. It has a wide measurement range of -70 °C to +380 °C. The measurement is taken over a field of view of 90 degrees, which also enables the determination of an average temperature of an object.

This NCIR HAT communicates with the M5Stick via the I2C interface (address is 0x5A).
