Cat.7 Raw Cable: More Data Through the Line

The Cat.7 network cable is essentially an upgrade to the Cat.6A patch cable. The Cat.6A network cable is equipped with a Cat.7 raw cable from EFB-Electronics. This allows it to support an operating frequency of up to 600 MHz and a transmission speed of up to 10 Gbit/s. In contrast, the Cat.6A raw cable has an operating frequency of 500 MHz. With the increased frequency, the Cat.7 patch cable can handle significantly more data traffic with Cat.6A connectors. The halogen-free outer sheath of the Cat.7 cable provides additional safety. The patch cables are produced using a Cat.7 raw cable to ensure the highest possible performance. They are perfect for use in high-speed networks and for connecting routers, switches, lighting systems, digital displays, computers, or one of the many new IoT devices. The Cat.7 network cable demonstrates its optimal performance in demanding applications.

Patch cable type

The cable type, describes the structure of a network cable. Fiber optic cables are suitable for distribution over longer distances (up to 80 km) and are resistant to interference. Copper cables can be used for distances up to 100 m and are cheaper to purchase.

Contact assignment

The contact assignment provides information on how the network cable can be used. An uncrossed cable can be used to connect terminals to the network, while a crossed cable can be used to connect two terminals.
