The PH Snowball pendant light, designed by Poul Henningsen, is an exciting lighting element that went into production in 1983. It was originally introduced in Paris alongside the PH 5 design and quickly gained popularity. However, it then faded into the background for 25 years before re-emerging under the name Snowball and now adorns elegant interiors. The PH Snowball pendant light, manufactured by the Danish lighting company Louis Poulsen, offers completely glare-free light thanks to its special louver structure that directs most of the light downward. It is made of white painted aluminum with a glossy finish on the top side of the louvers and a matte finish on the underside. The interior of the fixture is finished in high-gloss chrome.

Poul Henningsen designed his first fixtures for the Paris exhibition and worked closely with Louis Poulsen until his death in 1967. His lifelong goal was to create glare-free lamps that cast soft shadows and direct light purposefully. The model PH Snowball, designed by him in 1958, is exhibited alongside the PH5 model at the Kunstindustrimuseet Museum.
