Product details
With the LMP USB-C miniStore, the storage capacity of the Mac mini can be easily expanded while keeping its appearance largely unchanged (the height of the Mac mini is only increased by about 15 mm). The miniStore can be used as an additional volume, a boot volume, or for Time Machine backups. Simply remove the plastic bottom of the Mac mini with the included spatula, mount the miniStore by pressing it onto the Mac mini, and connect the USB-C data cable to one of the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C/USB 4) ports – and you're done. You will see either a volume on the desktop or create a new startup volume. Inside the miniStore, you can use a standard M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD in sizes 22×40 mm, 22×60 mm, or 22×80 mm. There is no capacity limit – expand as desired and swap out when you need more storage. The transfer rate can reach up to 950 MB/s in real-world use (the transfer rate heavily depends on the type of NVMe SSD used). The specially designed right-angle USB-C data cable can be connected to any of the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C/USB 4) ports on the Mac mini.
