The USB-C to Mini-DisplayPort adapter connects the new MacBooks with USB-C ports to the Apple Cinema Display with a Mini-DisplayPort connection. To use it, simply plug this adapter into the USB-C port of the MacBook and connect your Apple Cinema Display via a Mini-DisplayPort cable to display photos, videos, and other media on the large screen. This adapter works with Plug & Play (no driver is required) and supports a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD). The adapter is not compatible with the Apple 30" Cinema Display or the Apple 27" Thunderbolt Display.
