Product details
With the Lindy RJ-45 port blocker key, users can quickly block open network ports, effectively preventing unauthorized connections from cables, devices, or foreign objects.
This helps protect against unauthorized access to a network or system and avoids accidental or malicious damage to ports. It can also serve as a visual signal indicating inactive or disconnected ports, making it ideal for use in schools, offices, or other public facilities.
The semi-permanent RJ-45 port blocker consists of a molded plastic blocking cap that securely fits into the RJ-45 port with a special insertion key. The blocker clicks into the RJ-45 just like a network cable and stays in place until removed with the insertion key.
To use it, simply attach the blocker to the key and insert it into the port. Hold the blocker in place and pull the key away. To remove it, insert the key back into the blocker until it clicks, then pull it out.
Security Note: The port blockers serve only as a basic physical and visual deterrent against tampering. They do not prevent a determined attacker with physical access to an RJ-45 port from gaining entry.
Please note: This key is only compatible with the corresponding color of the port blocker.
