With the Lindy RJ45 Port Lock, open network ports can be quickly blocked, making it impossible to connect cables or other devices without authorization. It provides protection against unauthorized access to a network or system and against accidental or intentional damage to the ports. It also serves as a visual indicator of inactive and unconnected ports - ideal for use in schools, offices, or government agencies.
The RJ45 Port Lock consists of a plastic cap that is securely inserted into the RJ45 port with a key. The lock engages in the RJ45 port and can only be removed with the help of the key.
The application is simple: Place the lock on the key and then insert it into the free port. When you then pull out the key, the lock secures itself in the port. To remove it, simply insert the key back into the lock until it clicks and then pull the lock out.
Safety note: The lock primarily serves as a physical and visual deterrent. A determined attacker may still be able to dismantle it with skill and the right tools.
Please note that the key only fits the lock of the same color.
