This 8-pin power extension cable is essential for modern EPS, ATX, and BTX motherboards to supply power to the processor. Unlike the older 4-pin ATX12V motherboard and power supply connectors, this connector offers double the width with 2x 4-pin. The plug can be split into two 4-pin connectors on the motherboard side, one of which is compatible with older motherboards. A single 4-pin connector can be plugged into the other 8-pin side; however, the other 4 pins will not receive power. Please refer to the motherboard manufacturer's instructions.
