The T-CAN485 development board offers a versatile combination of interfaces including CAN-Bus and RS-485 for industrial applications. At its core is an ESP32 dual-core processor with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE, equipped with 4 MB of Flash memory, which can be programmed and powered via USB-C or a 2-pin screw terminal. For data storage, there is a slot for microSD cards that can locally record measurement values or log data. A 12-pin expansion header provides eight configurable GPIO pins with I2C, SPI, or UART, as well as power supply, allowing for easy connection of external sensors or modules. The integrated CAN interface is based on the SN65HVD231 transceiver and communicates via the TWAI protocol, while the RS-485 functionality is implemented through the MAX13487EESA+ chip. The board can be powered with 5 to 12 V DC via a 2-pin connector; the integrated voltage regulator ME2107A50M5G generates the 5 V required for the ESP32. Additional features include a WS2812 RGB LED pixel for status indication, boot and reset buttons, as well as a programmable power supply for the external bus. Thanks to its compact format, the board is ideal for automation projects, fieldbus gateways, or data acquisition devices.
