The SLIMpatch cables from the brand SLIM provide a solution for various cabling issues. Although they visually resemble flat ribbon cables, the SLIMpatch cables meet Category 6 specifications, making them suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T applications, including Gigabit Ethernet. Remarkably, three SLIMpatch cables have the diameter of a single standard CAT6 patch cable. Despite their extremely thin design, the cable features twisted pairs. Additionally, it has a wide, flexible strain relief and a practical length print on both ends, supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE according to IEEE802.3af).

Application: Typical applications for the SLIMpatch cables:

  • Overcrowded server or network cabinets or cable ducts
  • Telephone panels or switches with high port densities: very short cables allow for easy patching from switch to switch or switch to panel without a cable management panel
  • Connection of VoIP phones, as the cables are extremely flexible and therefore easy to lay on a desk
  • Applications in industry or manufacturing where Ethernet connections are needed but space is limited
  • As a patch cable in the laptop bag for technicians and field representatives
  • In a private setting, to run a patch cable under a carpet or chair rail.
