These cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz. They are used for signal transmission with high data transfer rates of 1 Gbps. Due to the high signal frequencies, careful attention must be paid during installation and assembly, especially at the connection points of the wires. The individual wire pairs in Cat6 are twisted at different tightness levels, which further reduces susceptibility to interference compared to Cat5e. Application areas for Cat-6 cables include voice and data transmission as well as multimedia and ATM networks. Even more powerful are cables according to Cat6e (500 MHz) and Cat6a (625 MHz). Slim patch cables offer a significant advantage when wiring racks and 48-port switches. Their extremely thin design and high flexibility help avoid cable tangling and maintain organization. A Wirewin Cat6 Slim Tough cable features a flexible and wide connector protection as well as a robust nylon jacket. They are the optimal solution for connecting IP phones to your network. The nylon jacket allows for easy untangling of the cables, making them suitable for mobile applications, such as connecting a laptop or as a travel companion.
