Although these patch cables are only manufactured for category 5e, Wirewin also uses 100% copper cables here. Applications for category 5e cables include all services of class D, such as voice, multimedia, and data transmission, as well as ATM networks. The shielding of the wires is done through a foil overall shield. Additionally, the cable features a special strain relief and a halogen-free jacket that is highly flame-resistant. The completely halogen-free jacket ensures that no toxic substances can be released in the event of a fire. The strain reliefs, designed to be particularly narrow, allow for comfortable cabling even with larger switches that have 48 ports or more.
