Although these patch cables are only manufactured for Category 5e, Wirewin also uses 100% copper cables here. Applications for Category 5e cables include all Class D services, such as voice, multimedia, and data transmission, as well as ATM networks. The shielding of the conductors is provided by a foil overall shield. Additionally, the cable features a special strain relief and a jacket made from halogen-free materials, which is highly flame-resistant. The highly halogen-free jacket ensures that no toxic substances can be released in the event of a fire. The strain reliefs, designed to be particularly slim, allow for comfortable cabling even with larger switches with 48 ports or more.
