Product details
Your microphone for double-power kick drum sound.
The DTP 640 REX is a dual-element microphone specifically designed to capture the sound of your drums and percussion instruments. At its core are two phase-aligned capsules: a condenser and a dynamic element. For greater flexibility in studio and live applications, you can switch between three sounds.
Unique sounds for your kick and other bass-heavy instruments.
Two capsules to get the best out of your sound.
We have integrated two phase-aligned microphones into a single housing. The dynamic side ensures precise attack reproduction of your kick drum, while the condenser element captures the lower end of your drum's frequency spectrum.
Each element has its own output.
This way, you can shape your sound in a unique way.
A great fit for drums and bass.
With the DTP 640 REX, you get massive yet clear kick drum and bass recordings, both in the studio and on stage.
Both capsules have been specifically designed to reproduce low frequencies with precision and punch.
You don't just hear the kick; you feel it too.
- Dynamic = Condenser
- Both elements are neutral.
- Dynamic + Condenser
- The dynamic element boosts frequencies between 3 and 5 kHz, while the condenser side remains neutral.
- Dynamic + Condenser
- The dynamic element handles the range of 3-5 kHz, while the condenser is responsible for frequencies from 70-150 Hz. Overall, this mode produces the most powerful kick sound you've ever heard.
This microphone lasts forever.
The DTP 640 REX features a hardened, hexagonal, ruthenium-coated steel grille and a solid metal die-cast housing.
