Spikes with Plates The TFW consists of a set of three stainless steel spikes with matching plates made of high-quality polyamide. The rust-free spikes are sealed with a sealing ring to prevent them from loosening on their own and to keep out dust and water. The TFW can be used with or without the plates. This set is ideal for snow, sand, and other loose surfaces to prevent the tripod from sinking during and between exposures. The hole in the spikes allows for better tightening.
