Simply loosen the clamp, slide the 70 mm long shortcut plate into the holder, and tighten the clamp again. It's simple and very solid. This shortcut plate can also be replaced with another universal Arca-Swiss compatible plate. The camera can also be attached to this ball head using an L-plate.
