fast DDR4 memory slumber under its just 10 mm thin aluminum body, with which the handy quick-change artist can effortlessly master even demanding graphic and multimedia applications. Like all its namesakes, this yoga masters the art of transformation: its special hinge allows 360° rotation and a very smooth transition between the four modes of use. Use it in productive notebook mode, in handy tablet mode or enjoy stress-free entertainment in stand or tent mode. The user interface of the pre-installed Windows 10 is optimized for every kind of operation. Use the supplied "Active Pen" stylus to work and sketch on the touch screen as intuitively and precisely as you are used to with a pen and paper. A solid-state drive (SSD) with 512 GB capacity provides ample storage space for your programs and files. In contrast to many other SSDs, this is not connected via a SATA interface, but a much faster PCIe interface. As a result, their speed not only outstrips that of conventional hard disks, but also that of other SSDs. As is usual with SSDs, this storage medium contains no sensitive, moving parts and is therefore mechanically more robust and absolutely noiseless. Yoga 720-13 offers several possibilities for expansion and communication: Internet access via local wireless networks and public hotspots is not only wireless and uncomplicated, but also extremely fast thanks to 802.11ac WLAN. The WLAN module also supports direct communication with mobile devices via Bluetooth 4.1, two USB 3.0 ports, including a type C form factor, and, as a special highlight, a Thunderbolt 3 port, waiting for peripherals and external storage media. The Thunderbolt 3 connector is the high-speed all-rounder among peripheral interfaces: Its form factor is identical to the current USB Type C port and is therefore compatible with USB Type C devices. But its speed leaves behind other peripheral ports: 83x faster than USB 2.0, 8x faster than USB 3.0 and twice as fast as Thunderbolt 2, making it possible to connect not only a number of peripherals in series but also the most hardware-hungry expansions - from external graphics cards to 4K monitors. Like its predecessor, the built-in eighth-generation Intel Core processor (Kaby Lake R) is based on the energy-efficient 14 nm architecture, which does not overheat even under full load, but delivers more power with the same power consumption. As a U variant (ultra-low power) it convinces with extremely low energy consumption. For the first time for a U-model, it has four physical cores which, together with hyper-threading, ensure a significant increase in performance and smooth multitasking. The graphics solution allows many functions that used to be reserved for dedicated graphics cards - from video editing and gaming to 4K video playback. Thanks to Turbo-Boost 2.0, it can dynamically adjust its clock rate to find the optimum balance between energy consumption and performance.
