Perfectly ground espresso is essential for any traditional coffee brewing with a portafilter espresso machine. The grind size is particularly important in this process. If the coffee is ground too coarsely, the hot water simply passes through the coffee grounds without building up any pressure. Conversely, if the coffee is ground too finely, no crema will form. With the electric coffee grinder Fred, the grind size can be adjusted individually, and the grinder grinds the coffee directly into the portafilter, which can be placed in the designated holder. There is no need to transfer the ground coffee anymore.
