For the sake of consistently high imaging quality across the entire focusing range, this group is meticulously designed with an aspherical lens, yet remains light enough to ensure fast autofocus. The optical design consists of a total of eleven lenses, including two aspherical lenses and four lenses made from glasses with anomalous partial dispersion to correct chromatic aberrations. This complex optical structure minimizes all monochromatic aberrations as well as color errors to an barely perceptible level.
