LAPP Spiral Charging Cable Type 2 connects the electric vehicle to the charging station, charging column, or wall box – for hassle-free charging at home or on the go. The cable's connector is simply plugged into the car, and the plug is connected to the power source. The charging process starts and ends automatically through the onboard electronics. LAPP charging cables are suitable for plug-in hybrid PHEVs and battery electric vehicles BEVs. The Type 2 charging cable from LAPP enables easy and fast charging of up to 11 kW at a public or private charging station or wall box. The spiral design of the charging cable allows for particularly space-saving storage. When connected between the charging station and the vehicle, spiral cables do not touch the ground and thus get less dirty than flat cables lying on the ground. Highly robust, drive-over safe cables and plugs with silver-plated contacts offer exceptional durability. A protective cap on the vehicle-side connector prevents dust, dirt, and water from entering between charging sessions. The oil-resistant and longitudinally waterproof EV charging cable provides high moisture protection according to protection class IP55. The operating temperature ranges from -40 °C to 50 °C. The Mode 3 charging cable is manufactured according to valid IEC and EN standards and is compatible with European vehicles and charging stations as well as with CCS Combo 2 connections.
