The QD series of quick disconnects from Koolance allows for a very simple and practical way to interrupt the coolant circuit by simply pressing down on a metal ring. This is particularly necessary in situations where hoses or water cooling components need to be frequently disconnected from the rest of the cooling system. The higher the designation of the QD connection, the more robust and larger it is designed, making it suitable for larger hose diameters.

Consider, for example, an external radiator that you want to quickly and securely detach from the PC during transport to carry it separately. Or a water cooling component that you change frequently, whether out of a desire to experiment (CPU, chipset coolers) or due to regular upgrades (VGA coolers).

Two QD3 quick disconnects made of nickel-plated brass are connected or separated (one male, one female), with Koolance developing valves that, as the name No-Spill suggests, are designed to ensure a certain degree of leak resistance. However, it should be noted that a hundred percent immediate sealing is not possible, and up to 0.2 ml of liquid may escape.

This quick disconnect in the new revision features a straight male design with a G1/4 inch male outer thread.
