The Scout Pro 3 testing device with Test + Map Remote Kit is a versatile cable tester that locates and verifies voice, data, and video cables. Use the self-storing remote unit and Test + Map remote units No. 2 to 6 for quick and accurate identification. Identify POE, POE+, A-wiring, B-wiring, and voltage. This tester also measures cable length and ensures correct cable installations at all times. The illuminated display aids in reading in low light conditions.

It tests voice (RJ11/12), data cables (RJ45), and video coaxial cables (F-connectors). The illuminated LCD display shows cable length, wire mapping, cable ID, and test results. It checks the wiring plan, tests for wiring errors/split pairs, short circuits, interruptions, and shielding. It measures cable lengths up to 610 m (2000 feet) and tracks cables, wires, paired, and individual conductors with a multi-signal tone generator.

The device detects and tests Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and identifies multiple cable runs simultaneously with the included remote units. The hub blink mode is used to identify the port location on a hub or switch. The set includes: 1 integrated and smart remote unit, 5 smart wiring and remote identification remote units, 7 socket-to-socket and 2 socket-to-plug coax adapters. It comes with a 9V battery and a convenient carrying case.
