The Kinman Big Nine-0 is an impressive single coil pickup. At first glance, it may appear to be just a standard Strat pickup with Alnico magnets, but the name suggests it possesses the power and soul of a P-90. It pairs perfectly with a humbucker, as it can easily match in terms of output and tonal character, all without any hum.

The Big Nine-0 is magnetically advanced and needs to be installed close to the strings to fully realize its potential. It boasts an astonishing 9.5 kOhm and delivers fantastically thick, singing highs. In the neck position, it is noticeably more defined than a P-90. The entire set produces the typical twang in positions 2 and 4, but with a richness that is beyond the norm. The Big Nine-0 is approximately 3 mm taller than conventional single coils at 25 mm. Therefore, it is advisable to measure the routing of the guitar before purchasing.
