To protect sensitive data, Kingston's IronKey D300 USB Flash Drive features a state-of-the-art security standard based on the functionalities that have earned IronKey its excellent reputation. It is FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified and offers hardware-based 256-bit AES encryption in XTS mode. Additional security is provided by the digitally signed firmware of the USB drive, making it immune to BadUSB attacks. It also includes a complex password protection system with a minimum character requirement to guard against unauthorized access. Encryption and decryption occur directly on the USB drive, leaving no traces on the host system. Furthermore, the USB drive is locked after 10 invalid login attempts to protect against brute-force attacks.
