King Mod Metal Keycaps set inner keys unlabeled, silver
Product details
Mechanical keyboards with their clearly defined key presses and satisfying click sounds are considered the ultimate choice for many gamers.
The Cherry MX switches in these keyboards have an incredibly long lifespan (up to 50 million keystrokes) and allow for absolute precision in gaming or typing. Another advantage is the compatibility of the mechanical switches from Cherry. The shape and size of the keycaps are consistent across the MX Black, MX Red, MX Blue, and MX Brown series, enabling users to customize different keyboards with the same keycaps.
This prompted Caseking to offer a special collection of keycaps that allows enthusiastic users to highly personalize their consoles. These are silver caps made from an electroplated zinc alloy, with laser-etched labels protected by a UV coating on the surface.
This offer includes alternative, completely unlabelled keys for the inner key field (including letters) for the US layout, meaning 34 keycaps are provided. Replacing the caps is quite simple: first, gently pry off an old cap using a suitable tool (often included with many keyboards) or a pen or screwdriver, and then firmly press the new cap onto the switch.
It should be noted that the King Mod metal keycaps are heavier than the original plastic ones (weighing between 4.82 g and 5.5 g per cap, depending on the position). This not only makes the stylishly modified human-computer interface a bit louder when typing, but the increased weight also slightly reduces the actuation force required.
