The Q5 is the perfect example of efficient space utilisation. It has a compact 96% layout while retaining all the important functions and number keys. With its CNC-machined aluminium housing, double-gasket design and QMK/VIA support, the Q5 is the ultimate choice for a keyboard in an almost full-size format. All components are designed to be easy to assemble. Therefore, you can customise and replace each component as you wish. An Arm Cortex-M4 32-bit STM32L432 MCU with very low power consumption, which is powerful and equipped with 128K flash, offers more flexibility for developers. The Keychron Q5 consists of a CNC machined 6063 aluminium housing that undergoes 24 processes including polishing, anodising and sandblasting. The gasket-mounted design gives the board a comfortable, flexible feel with excellent sound.

The keyboard has a system switch on the side for the operating system and an additional set of customised keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems. Thanks to full QMK and VIA support, you can easily programme and remap every key on the keyboard. The VIA open source firmware allows you to define each key, keyboard layout or backlighting. Even write MACROS for customised key combinations that you want on your Keychron Q5. The south-facing RGB SMD LED illumination is easy to see as they face the user. The Gateron G Pro switches are pre-lubricated at the factory and offer an excellent typing feel, which is complemented by the double-shot PBT keycaps in OSA profile.
