Product details
The KERN ORM series models are precise, universal, and maintenance-free digital handheld refractometers. They are characterized by their ease of use and robustness. Their compact design makes them suitable for convenient and quick everyday use. The large and clearly readable display with integrated temperature indication helps the user accurately determine the measurement value. The integrated automatic temperature compensation (ATC) allows for simple and fast operation, as no manual conversion of the measurement result is necessary. Quick and user-friendly calibration of the refractometer is possible at any time using commercially available distilled water. The refractometers in the KERN ORM series are protected against dust and splash water according to the international protection class IP65. You can rinse the refractometer under running water after use. Average measurements are possible. The package includes: prism cover, pipette, storage box, 1 × AAA battery, and operating instructions. This model is particularly suitable for basic measurements where the result is needed in Brix or refractive index. They are used for determining sugar content in food or for monitoring processes in industry, such as coolant monitoring and water-based mixtures. The result can be displayed in either Brix or refractive index. Main application areas include: industry (process and quality control, lubricant monitoring), food industry (beverages, fruits, sweets), determining the ripeness of fruits for quality control at harvest, as well as in restaurants and large kitchens.
