Product details

PL filters are always thick, as they consist of two glass plates. However, there are also variants with a thin frame available, where the glass assembly has been ground down to a thickness that corresponds to that of a normal filter.

PL filters achieve their greatest effect in eliminating glare when used at an angle of 30-40 degrees to a reflective surface, such as glass or water. At noon, when the sun is directly overhead or at a 90-degree angle, the filter has the least effect. These effects are easily visible by rotating the filter and looking through the camera's viewfinder. Remember that you need to adjust the polarizing filter first before making exposure adjustments.

To deepen the color of the blue sky and highlight the clouds, hold the camera at a right angle to the sun and take the photo when the sun is at an angle of 30-40 degrees in the sky.

When photographing distant subjects, landscapes can sometimes appear bluish. This is also caused by light polarization. Using a polarizing filter helps significantly reduce the softness caused by atmospheric haze.

There are various ways in which using polarizing filters can help you capture the perfect image. The reduction of haze and enhancement of colors may seem like simple effects, but once used, these effects will prove invaluable for photographers at any level of interest.
