Polyester iron-on film for covering model airplanes, roll size 200 x 64 cm.

The KAVAN iron-on film is made from a very thin and lightweight polyester polymer with high strength, coated with a layer of heat-activated adhesive with excellent high-opacity pigments. It is supplied in rolls with a width of 64 cm and a length of 2 m. The adhesive side is protected with a clear film.

The KAVAN iron-on film is resistant to model building fuels, glow plug fuel, ignition fuel, and gasoline.

The film thickness is 50-65 µm (including adhesive) and the weight per unit area is 63-70 g/m² (darker colors are slightly lighter than lighter colors).

The shrinkage of the film is 5-10%, evenly in all directions.

Ordinary model building irons and heat guns can be used for ironing. The working temperature range is approximately 95-180°C. The optimal temperature for application to the structure is around 95-100°C, the temperature for tensioning is about 130-140°C, and for strongly curved surfaces, it is 140-160°C.
