The dual-channel universal process and program controller is visualized through a brilliant display and is intuitively operated via a touchscreen. The two control channels feature a proven control algorithm with two possible optimization variants, allowing for simple and highly accurate commissioning. Multi-zone control, cascade control, or other complex control tasks are also possible. The following block diagram illustrates the diverse hardware options of the modular hardware concept. Two analog universal inputs and seven binary inputs can capture various physical measurement values with high precision. Actuator control can be achieved through different output variants, either analog or digital, directly within the device. External digital outputs can further expand these capabilities. Additionally, the touchscreen controller includes two relay outputs (changeover). For communication with higher-level systems, interfaces such as Modbus (Master/Slave), PROFIBUS (optional), or Ethernet with web server (optional) can be utilized. For secure process operation, the device features a password-protected user management system with individual rights allocation for different levels or control commands. Predefined screen masks for controllers, programmers (optional), and overview images are available. A custom process image can be created using the configuration software. The configuration software allows for easy programming of the process controller, describing mathematical or logical relationships, or creating customer-specific linearizations. Furthermore, tools are included to simulate external signals or the control loop, or to record them during the commissioning phase. A comprehensive alarm and limit value concept, along with flexible digital signal management, rounds out this all-in-one device.
