The multifunctional four-wire transmitter is the solution for a wide range of applications in plant engineering, thanks to its galvanic isolation and custom linearization. With a width of just 17.5 mm, this entry-level model is very space-saving for installation in control cabinets. It captures sensor signals from resistance thermometers in a three-wire configuration. The transmitter provides an output signal of 0(4) to 20 mA. The measurement input and output signal are galvanically isolated from each other. Additionally, there is an RS485 Modbus RTU interface available. The multifunctional transmitter has ATEX and IECEx certification, as well as SIL 2/SIL 3 certification according to DIN EN 61508 and PL c/d according to ISO 13849. An operating hour counter is also included in the equipment. The configuration of the transmitter regarding sensor type, sensor connection technology, operating hour counter, measurement range (freely adjustable), and linearization is done using a setup program on a PC. The connection to the PC is established via a USB interface that does not require additional auxiliary voltage. Through the USB interface, the minimum/maximum process value captured by the transmitter, as well as the minimum/maximum operating temperature, can be read out, and the sensor wiring can be checked online. The operating states of the transmitter are indicated by a three-color LED (red/green).
