The JJC LH-43LX100 metal lens hood is designed for the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX100 and the LEICA D-LUX (Type 109) cameras. It features a screw-on design that fits well with the camera. This hood offers several advantages: it protects the lens from stray light, improving image quality; in bad weather, it helps keep moisture or dirt blown by the wind away from the lens; and it protects the front housing from impacts against walls, door frames, and other obstacles. The LH-43LX100 has a ventilated design that allows more light into the image without causing vignetting. The hood is compatible with a 43 mm centered push-on lens cap and provides an additional thread for attaching a 58 mm filter or lens cap.
