Product details
An impressive optical performance and high-quality execution integrated into a lightweight and handy housing. Whether you are sailing, hiking, driving, or flying – the Irix Firefly 15mm f/2.4 makes your journey extraordinary. Whether capturing urban architecture or landscape images, the ergonomic focus ring helps you capture the ideal moment.
The front part of the lens is free of any engravings, prints, or other markings. This eliminates unwanted reflections when using neutral density filters. Thanks to the sophisticated optical design and the special Neutrino coating, chromatic aberration, imaging and color fringing errors, as well as lens reflections are reduced to an absolute minimum. You can lock the focus ring at any time to secure your chosen setting. Precise and comfortable – a brilliant solution.
The hyperfocal distance scale shows you the depth of field range in a simple and intuitive way, depending on the aperture. For easier operation without optical control, you will hear a slight "click" sound when the ring is in the "Infinity" setting. Finally, you can operate your lens instinctively and focus your gaze and full attention on the composition of the image.
Irix lenses are manufactured with the highest precision. Each Irix lens is weather-resistant against dust and moisture and equipped with internal seals. This makes the lens even splash-proof. Despite the short focal length and large aperture, we not only offer a front filter thread accessible through a window in the lens hood but have also added a slot for gelatin filters at the back. This gives you even more options for your creative image creations.
