Under the codename Coffee Lake, Intel presents its eighth generation of processors. The main innovations are an increased number of cores and various performance optimizations. The Core i5-8600, with speeds of up to 4.3 GHz, is positioned in the mid-range and offers six cores but no Hyper-Threading. It uses the LGA1151 socket and has a TDP of 65 watts. Thanks to Turbo Boost and optimized SpeedStep technology, the processor quickly adjusts its clock speed to the workload, always finding the right balance between power consumption and performance. Intel's eighth generation Core processors are manufactured using the 14nm++ process. According to Intel, this allows for up to 26% more performance with approximately 50% lower power consumption. The graphics solution remains largely the same compared to the seventh generation and continues to support features that were previously reserved for dedicated graphics cards - from video and photo editing to gaming and 4K video playback.
