Product details

This card reader for SD and microSD cards can be used with both an Android device (USB 2.0) and a PC (USB 3.0). Its compact design makes it an ideal companion for on-the-go use. USB OTG is a specification that allows USB devices like Android tablets or smartphones to act as a host and directly store data on memory cards without a PC.

It features a Micro-USB 2.0 connector for Android and a USB 3.0 Type A connector for the PC. It supports SDXC and micro SDXC memory cards with high capacity (up to 2TB, though Android may only support a maximum of 32GB) as well as variants of these cards. Data transfer rates of up to 5Gb/s (USB 3.0) and up to 480Mb/s (USB 2.0) are achievable. It can be used with smartphones and tablets that have OTG functionality (from Android 4.0), and it supports Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, Mac from 10.5, and Linux from 2.4.

An LED indicates the read and write status. Chipset: GL3233 (LQFN46). USB OTG only supports FAT32 (NTFS is not supported). The Micro-USB 2.0 and 3.0 inputs cannot be used simultaneously.
