The use of a larger diameter fan positively affects noise generation, as these fans require significantly lower rotational speeds to achieve the same airflow.

This fan adapter allows you to install a 120 mm fan on a heatsink where normally only a 70, 80, or 90 mm fan could fit (screws and washers included).
