Product details
In many cases, with various cases and different panels for the case front, it is still the case that the sockets for connecting devices with USB 3.0 cannot be internally connected to the motherboard. Instead, USB Type A male connectors are used, which are routed through the back of the case to be plugged into the Type A female sockets on the motherboard from the back.
Until now. Because now there is a practical solution from accessory specialist InLine for all those affected who own a motherboard with an internal USB 3.0 header but have had to deal with the cumbersome external sockets until now. This is not very appealing for various reasons: it can be perceived as an optical disturbance, sometimes disrupts plans for optimal cable management inside the case, and occupies external sockets that can no longer be used for other devices.
The adapter from InLine connects on one side with 19 pins to an internal motherboard header for USB 3.0. On the other side of the board, two Type A male connectors can then be connected. The internal connection is not compatible with USB 2.0 headers, while the external sockets are compatible but only offer the reduced bandwidth of that format.
