Product details
In many cases, and with various panels for the case front, the ports for connecting devices with USB 3.0 cannot be internally connected to the motherboard. Instead, male Type A USB connectors are used, which are routed through the back of the case to be plugged into the Type A female ports on the motherboard from the back.
Until now. Because now there is a practical solution from accessory specialist InLine for all those who have a motherboard with an internal USB 3.0 header but have previously had to deal with the cumbersome external ports. This is not very aesthetically pleasing for various reasons: it can be perceived as an optical disturbance, it sometimes disrupts plans for optimal cable management inside the case, and it occupies external ports that cannot be used for other devices.
The adapter from InLine connects on one side with 19 pins to an internal motherboard header for USB 3.0. On the other side of the board, two male Type A connectors can then be connected. The internal connection is not compatible with USB 2.0 headers, but the external ports are compatible, although they only offer the reduced bandwidth of that format.
