As long as the Chroniclers of Nemire can remember, the descendants of the Dracul, one of the oldest vampire bloodlines, have ruled over the mysterious lands of Warmont, the realm of the Blood Throne. Within the borders of this secluded land, an unholy court of vampires feasts on the blood of their human subjects. As long as this gift remains voluntary, an immoral peace treaty exists between mortals and immortals under the vampiric rule of Vlad and Cecilia Dracul, bound in everlasting love.

In the east, however, a cold wind blows over the desolate plains of Mourterra, the land of the dead. Even though not a single human soul lives on the barren, tainted ground, the land is far from deserted. For here, the few survivors of the Nosfernus, an ancient and corrupted vampire bloodline, creep through the endless silence. They patiently wait for the right moment to instill fear and terror in the realms of the living once again.

Meanwhile, another vampire bloodline resides in Esain, the frosty north, in solitude and seclusion. For the mystical vampire clan of the Moroia, magic is blood, and blood is magic… and both flow equally through their cold, blue veins. No being—living or dead—dares to disturb their dark rituals and bloody soirées.

Today, however, the wind carries the scent of freshly spilled blood, and a red moon illuminates the dark night sky. A vampire war is imminent, and no creature will be spared from the horrors to come.
