Iittala Leimu table lamp

Leimu table lamp. The "glowing light of a sunset" is impressively and visually coherently realized by Norwegian designer Magnus Petterson for the Finnish brand iittala: For a landscape-inspired base, he chooses a sturdy concrete pedestal in the shape of a sugar loaf. The flush-mounted, mouth-blown glass shade diffuses the light from the user-replaceable bulb (E27 socket, max. 60 W) into a soft, warm evening glow in the offered copper tone. With his unusual choice between robust concrete and fragile glass, Magnus Petterson atmospherically embodies the given name in a small format for the lamp, where minor irregularities reflect the handcrafted production process. iittala delivers the charming Leimu table lamp in two subtly different sizes – perfect as a gentle bedside lamp or atmospheric room lighting.
