With the ICY DOCK ToughArmor MB508SP-B 8-bay 2.5” hot-swappable frame/backplane module for hard drives and SSDs, up to eight 2.5" SAS/SATA HDDs/SSDs with a height of 5-15 mm can be housed in just 2x 5.25” CD/DVD drive bays. The support for 15 mm high drives means that even enterprise-level SAS hard drives with exceptionally high storage capacity can be easily accommodated. These are used in applications designed for high reliability over a long lifespan, including archiving and backing up large amounts of data. Two Mini-SAS HD connectors are used to connect all 8 drives, effectively preventing cable clutter compared to conventional SATA cables. At the same time, reliability is enhanced by improved EMI protection against interference signals integrated into the Mini-SAS HD cables. To further improve reliability and safety, the MB508SP-B is made entirely from high-quality materials.
