Icy Dock Converter 2.5 to 3.5 inch

Icy Dock is proud to introduce the MB982IP-1S-1, a true 2.5" to 3.5" SAS HDD/SSD converter. The MB982IP-1S-1 is an addition to the popular MB982 Enterprise Class converters and replaces the previous model MB982IP-1S. The main focus is on its use in industrial and professional storage applications. The dimensions, connection positions, and mounting holes are identical to those of a conventional 3.5" SAS hard drive with SFF-8482 connection. This converter has been specifically designed for operating 2.5" SAS/SATA drives that are used in internal 3.5" SAS drive bays of PC cases or rack mounts, as well as SAS backplanes and hot-swap modules. The MB982IP-1S-1 is made entirely of metal, providing optimal conditions for cooling a 10K/15K RPM SAS hard drive or an Enterprise Class SAS SSD. At the same time, its robust construction makes it ideal for use in industrial, professional, or military applications. Based on the experience with the predecessor model MB982IP-1S, the MB982IP-1S-1 uses a standardized SAS SFF-8482 connection to ensure full compatibility with various SAS backplanes. To accommodate hard drives of different heights, Icy Dock has integrated Smart-Fit technology, which allows for a secure fit for drives ranging from 9.5 mm to 15 mm.
