With this hub, you can utilize the fast USB 3.0 connection seven times through the new Type-C port. The hub is bus-powered, making it usable without an external power supply; however, a power adapter is included, allowing for the connection of multiple power-hungry devices. With a transfer rate of up to 5 Gbit/s, USB 3.0 has many applications. It is backward compatible, making it suitable for USB 2.0 devices as well (albeit at the correspondingly lower transfer speed).
