Full HD is a given. The IB-AC539 receives input via Mini DisplayPort and outputs the video signal through VGA at a resolution of up to 1920x1080@60 Hz. This allows you to connect MacBooks and similar devices to older monitors, projectors, or other equipment.

Old monitor, new MacBook? If your still-functional but older VGA monitor or TV can't connect to the new technology, the IB-AC539 could help: it easily connects a Mini DisplayPort to a VGA port.

Mini DisplayPort. The input is provided via a Mini DisplayPort. This connection has become particularly established with the MacBook Air, not least because Apple developed it. So, if you own such a MacBook, you could definitely benefit from this adapter.
