External hard drives are all the rage. And rightly so, because they can be transported and connected to another device at any time. The 3640SU3 offers you plenty of storage, as up to four hard drives of any size can be operated simultaneously. The robust aluminium housing not only looks stylish, but also efficiently dissipates the heat generated inside to the outside. A temperature-controlled fan, which quietly ensures the correct air exchange, also helps here. Installing the hard drives in the IB-3640SU3 is quick and easy and requires no tools. Thanks to HotSwap, the data carriers used can be quickly replaced at any time, even during operation. Environmental protection has also been taken into account: the hard disk has a sleep mode that minimises power consumption. All current Windows versions from XP and MAC OS X are supported. The connection is made either via fast USB 3.0, which enables transfer rates of up to 5 GBit per second, or eSATA. The hard disks are then each available as a separate drive (JBOD = "Just a bunch of disks").
